Your privacy, plainly stated.

1. Who we are

Tampa Bay Rackets ("the Site", "we", "us") is operated by Ignacio Toraño, a South Tampa resident. The Site is a free community directory of paddle and racquet sports venues, players, stores, and coaches in the Tampa Bay area. You can reach us at Ignacio@ignaciotorano.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly

• Account information — your email address, and if you sign in with Google, your Google account's display name and profile photo. If you sign up with email and password, we store a secure hash of your password (we never see the plain-text password).
• Profile information you choose to share — display name, bio, profile photo, zip code, skill level, sports you play, availability schedule, preferred venues, and any social-media links you add (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Community content — comments you post on venue pages, your "Open to Play" status, your favorited venues, and any improvement submissions you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Behavioral analytics — we use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session activity (clicks, scrolls, mouse movements) and create heatmaps. By default, all text you type or see is automatically masked, so emails, names, and personal details visible on the page do not appear in recordings.
• Local browser storage — we use localStorage to remember your favorites, viewing preferences, and login session. You can clear this anytime via your browser settings.
• Standard server logs — like all websites, our hosting providers (Netlify, Supabase) log IP addresses and request data for security and operational purposes.

3. How we use your information

• To run the community feature: showing your profile to other logged-in players when you mark yourself "Open to Play."
• To let other players contact you through the social links you choose to share.
• To remember your favorites, settings, and login across visits.
• To improve the Site by understanding how people use it (via Clarity).
• To respond to your feedback submissions or questions you email us.

We do not: sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing outside Tampa Bay Rackets itself.

4. Third-party services we use

Tampa Bay Rackets is built on top of these vendors. Each has its own privacy practices:

• Supabase (Singapore-based, US data centers) — hosts our database and handles authentication. Privacy policy
• Cloudinary (US-based) — hosts profile photos. Privacy policy
• Netlify (US-based) — hosts the website and processes feedback form submissions. Privacy policy
• Google (US-based) — provides "Sign in with Google" if you choose that option. Privacy policy
• Microsoft Clarity (US-based) — provides usage analytics and session replay (with text masked). Privacy policy
• OpenStreetMap — provides the underlying map tiles in the Map view.

5. Your rights and choices

• Delete your account — sign in, open your profile, and use the delete option. All your profile data is removed from our database. (Browser localStorage on your device should be cleared separately if you'd like.)
• Edit your information — sign in and edit your profile anytime to update or remove any field.
• Withdraw from Open Play — uncheck "Open to Play" on your profile to hide yourself from the player directory while keeping your account.
• Opt out of analytics — enable "Do Not Track" in your browser; Microsoft Clarity respects this signal.
• Data export or correction — email Ignacio@ignaciotorano.com and we'll respond within 14 days.
• California (CCPA) and EU (GDPR) residents have additional rights under their respective laws, including access, deletion, and portability of your personal information. Email us to exercise these rights.

6. Data security

The Site uses HTTPS encryption for all traffic. Passwords are hashed by Supabase using industry-standard cryptography. We do not have access to your raw password. While we take reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and don't share it.

7. Children's privacy

Tampa Bay Rackets is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please email us and we'll delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the Site evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll display a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
