The rules, in plain English.
The short version: Be a good community member. The information on this site is community-sourced and may be wrong — verify before you go. We can remove accounts that abuse the platform. You can delete yours anytime.
1. Agreement
By using Tampa Bay Rackets ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. Together with our Privacy Policy, these terms govern your use of the Site.
2. Who can use the Site
You must be 13 years or older to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your account secure — use a strong password and don't share your credentials.
- You're responsible for everything done under your account.
- You may create one account per person. Impersonation, fake accounts, and bots are not allowed.
- You can delete your account anytime via your profile settings.
4. Community guidelines
Tampa Bay Rackets is a community directory. We expect everyone to treat each other with respect. The following are not allowed and may result in account removal without notice:
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory content based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Sexually explicit content or solicitation.
- Spam, advertising, or unsolicited promotional content (including for real estate, fitness services, or other commercial offerings).
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting affiliation with a venue, organization, or person.
- Scraping, automated data collection, or using the Site's data for commercial competitive purposes.
- Posting false, misleading, or defamatory information about venues, players, stores, or coaches.
- Uploading photos of people who haven't consented, including minors.
- Attempting to exploit, hack, or interfere with the Site's operation.
5. Your content
You own what you post. Your profile information, comments, photos, and any other content you submit remain your property. By posting on the Site, you grant Tampa Bay Rackets a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content for the purpose of operating the Site.
You represent that you have the right to post any content you share, including any photos of yourself or others. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
6. About the venue, store, and coach information
Important: Tampa Bay Rackets compiles venue, store, and coach information from public sources and community submissions. While we work to keep it accurate, we make no guarantee that any specific information is current or correct. Court availability, fees, hours, access requirements, and contact info change frequently. Always verify directly with the venue before going.
HOA, apartment, and private community courts are typically residents-only — non-residents should not attempt to access these venues based on this directory's listing.
7. We are not affiliated with the venues
Tampa Bay Rackets is an independent community directory. We are not owned by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the venues, stores, or coaches listed unless explicitly stated otherwise. Listing a venue is purely informational. If a venue or person asks to be removed, we will honor that request promptly.
8. Stores and coaches
Stores and coaches are listed for community reference. Their inclusion is not an endorsement. You're responsible for evaluating any service provider before engaging them. We're not party to any transactions or relationships between you and any listed business or coach.
9. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't promise that the Site will be available 24/7, error-free, or meet your specific needs. Use of the Site is at your own risk.
Tampa Bay Rackets is not responsible for:
- Disputes between players, including missed games, no-shows, or conduct on or off the court.
- Accuracy of venue information, fees, hours, or access policies.
- The quality, safety, or legality of any venue, store, or coach.
- Injuries, losses, or damages incurred at any venue listed on the Site.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Tampa Bay Rackets or its operator be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, for a free service, is $0).
11. Account removal
We reserve the right to remove or suspend any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice. We may also remove individual posts, comments, photos, or other content we believe violates these Terms. You can appeal a removal by emailing us — we'll respond within 14 days.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll display a notice on the Site or email registered users. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.
